Top of the Square Catering provides all of the food and beverage served at New York University’s Kimmel Center. In addition we are pleased to provide services throughout the campus community.
Pre-event Planning
General Information
The following menus are guidelines designed to assist you in selecting a menu for your event. The catering staff will be happy to design and create unique and customized menus for each individual event.
Florist
The catering staff will be happy to make those arrangements for you using one of our in–house floral design vendors.
Guarantee
A guaranteed number of guests is required for all catered meal functions. Final attendance must be confirmed three (3) business days in advance or the expected attendance will become the final Guarantee. In the case of cancellation, you will be responsible for any costs incurred prior to the time of cancellation.
Audio Visual
Audio visual requirements for the Kimmel Center are made through the Kimmel Center’s reservation office.

Service Charges
Wait staff are required for all plated dinners and receptions. Buffets may also require wait staff, depending on the location of the event and the number of guests attending:
Wait staff are charged on a five hour minimum:
Captain @ $250.00 / $50.00 each additional hour
Wait Staff @ $175.00 / $35.00 Each Additional Hour
Bartenders @ $175.00 / $35.00 each additional hour
Chefs and carvers for buffet stations @ $150.00 for each station
*All events requiring one wait staff will be charged the Captain’s rate The catering staff will be happy to design and create unique and customized menus for each individual event
Linens
$8.00 for each house linen
In addition you may customize your event linens. Our catering managers will be pleased to assist you in providing alternatives.
Rentals
The catering staff can make arrangements through one of our rental companies, for upgrades in linens, china, silver & glassware or any specialty items. An additional rental charge may apply.
